Artist Statement

My artwork often represents my adoration of human ideas, celebrating the human spirit.  Additional, I enjoy creating work that describes our interconnected relationship with nature.  My choice of medium changes as often as my ideas, as the medium is integral to the expression of the work. I aspire to create work that conveys the deep sense of gratitude for my life and my journey across time.  I enjoy creating work that demonstrates my endless love for the natural world and for each human's personal journey.  Even in the struggles that arise from adversity, there is a profound sense of awareness that is required for personal growth. As I continue my own growth and personal journey, I find my work transforming as a reflection of that spirit.  My goal is an expression of unity with the beauty and mystery of the surrounding world.

I fully believe that humans are given a gift in the capacity to create.  Creation, through art or innovation, can lead us to expansive joy and a sense of accomplishment and pride in work well done.  In everything I create, I hope to impart these ideas to my students and others who encounter my work.
